Don Little Narrates How He Rose To Fame, Reveals He Never Thought His Stature Will Bring Him This Far
Don Little, the diminutive actor from Ghana, has talked about how he first believed that his height would prevent him from succeeding in the film industry.
The majority of Don Little‘s appearances are in Kumawood films, and thanks to his great acting abilities, he has been successful in catching Ghanaians attention.
His friends had persuaded him to pursue acting, but because of his small stature, he had been reluctant to make the move. He described his journey as an actor.
Don Little said that despite having the support of his loved ones, he constantly worried that others would make fun of him in an interview with well-known actress Emelia Brobbey for her Okukuseku program.
“Major, one of my friends, introduced me to acting.” He once invited me to go with him, not realizing that he was taking me to a production facility. Despite my horror, I watched the movie. Although it wasn’t horrible, I couldn’t offer my best effort due to my timidity.
He insisted that it wasn’t simple.
He continued by saying that in the past, getting a solid role in a movie had been challenging.
He said that there was no hope left, so he gave up and enrolled in a computer program. After that, he also sold call cards to make ends meet.
“I met a YouTube-obsessed director in Kumasi, and we made several films together, but YouTube wasn’t as well-known back then as it is now, so that didn’t help either. I gave up and registered for a computer program. “I sold airtime for a while after finishing the computer application I was working on,” he continued.
In the conversation, he also discussed how he rose to fame. He said that a priest had connected him to comedian Funny Face, which was how it all started.
“I went to Atwea Mountain with several members of my church to seek God’s face. Through that, I met a preacher who introduced me to Funny Face, a comedian from Ghana. After the prayers, I met with him and explained my situation.
Despite the difficulty of his initial interaction with Funny Face, Little claimed that the comic reached out to him once more; they made a video, and that was that.
