Sarkodie’s Verse Didn’t Make ‘You Dey Craze’ A Hit – Edem Schools A Fan

Denning Edem Hotor, popularly known as Edem, has been at odds with a social media user who believes Sarkodie is responsible for the success of the song “You Dey Craze.”

On Twitter, a user contended that Sarkodie‘s verse on a song with Edem and Kwaw Kese that was published in 2009 was what helped the song gain popularity.

The tweep clarified before the altercation that he had no desire to offend the renowned rapper known for using his native tongue in his songs.

Edem took his time to educate him about his claim. He considers the rapper’s assertion to be false since, in his perspective, the chorus is what makes a song popular.

“Wat makes a hit is da chorus 4 starters, so ur opinin is Bogus..2ndly u av 2 be enlightnd 2 aprct the diversity n how each language held their own:N each demography (Ewe fante Twi) had apprtn for their own(Driven by Undrstnd + Content ) Facts are data proven not opinion driven.” Edem wrote as a reply to the fan who said Sarkodie made the song a hit after Edem posted a link to the song on Twitter.
