Shatta Wale Apologizes To Wendy Shay For Not Showing Up At The ‘Shay Concert’

Ghanaian dancehall great Shatta Wale, whose real name is Charles Nii Armah-Mensah, has apologized to Wendy Shay for missing her concert because he has been feeling very tired lately.

Wendy Shay put on a performance on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the West Hills Mall as a way of saying “thank you” to her supporters for helping her become the most streamed female artist on Boomplay in 2022.

Numerous established and up-and-coming performers, including Fameye, Eno Barony, and Angie Wood, delighted the audience throughout the widely-known show.

Wendy Shay, who had played at Shatta Wale‘s “Freedom Wave Concert” at the Accra Sports Stadium, along with her supporters and fans of the SM boss, were hopeful that the “Ayoo” hitmaker would come and perform at her concert too.

The Ghanaian artist with the largest fan base, however, broke his commitment. Shatta Wale expressed regret to Wendy Shay for his absence in a tweet that Ghanaweekly.com saw.

The SM chief gave an explanation for his absence, claiming that he was worn out from appearing at so many events over the holiday season.

Taking to Twitter, he wrote:
