I Spent Only 6 Months Out Of My 5 Years Contract At Burniton Music Group – OV Reveals
Ghanaian songstress Original Version (OV), the former signee of Burniton Music Group, has admitted that despite having signed a contract for a specified five years, she only stayed with the label for no more than six months.
In a shockingly candid interview with NY DJ on BTM Afrika, OV, who had previously remained anonymous, stated she received a text message from the label’s CEO, Stonebwoy, informing her of the cancellation of her contract during the time he was abroad.
She still doesn’t know the precise reason for the termination, according to the Shush hitmaker.
When asked if she had broken the conditions of her contract, she said, “Nothing actually occurred.” I went where I wanted to go, performed what I needed to do, picked up some knowledge, and then it was over. I honestly have no idea what happened since I am still unable to explain it. Stonebwoy texted me to let me know that he no longer wants to collaborate with any of his musicians. I attended meetings and asked questions, but nothing was clear.
In any case, OV is grateful she got the chance to work with the label.
I was harmed, but I’m doing great. “I actually admired the singer (Stonebwoy) and thought I could learn a thing or two from him, so I really wanted to be there (with Burniton Music Group),” she added.
