Together with her husband, Hopeson Adorye, a member of the New Patriotic Party, gospel singer Empress Gifty recently celebrated their fourth wedding anniversary.
When her first marriage fell apart, Empress claims that she left Ghana but that God kept urging her to return.
Empress Gifty, formerly known as Gifty Osei, accepted the call after hearing the voice speak to her three times, returned home for the funeral of her friend’s father, and now goes by the name Empress Gifty.
She had her first encounter with renowned politician Hopeson Adorye in the burial grounds. She was treated well and welcomed by the “strange” man who would eventually become her husband.
Speaking in a video posted on her official Facebook page, Empress said she prayed to God for a tall, stout guy who would adore her.
Hopeson crossed her path that day, and she knew instantly he was the one.
Later, the two fell in love, and on December 28, 2019, they were married in Tema.
The artist advised ladies to pray for and manifest the kind of man that their hearts and souls truly desire.
