I’m An Incarnated Soul – Kofi Kinaata Reveals

When discussing Ghanaian artists who create songs with deep lyrical substance, never forget to mention well-known Highlife/Hiplife artist Kofi Kinaata.

He has developed into a highly talented singer, dominating the highlife and hiplife genres in addition to his rapping abilities.

He is the first singer from Ghana to have won four times as Songwriter of the Year at the prestigious Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).

He received the “Vodafone Green Award” in 2021, which is presented to artists that use their talent to promote sustainability and environmental awareness around the world.

The multi-award-winning highlife/hiplife musician is renowned for mega-hit songs including “Things Fall Apart,” “Susuka,” “Behind The Scenes,” “Last Show,” and many others.

The “Things Fall Apart” hitmaker was addressing a question about the trick to his extraordinary poetic talent in an exclusive interview on Citi 97.3fm when he sarcastically said:

I’ve been in this world before…

I have been reincarnated.

When asked if growing up with his grandparents contributed to his voluminous lyrical material, the singer of “Susuka” stated solemnly:

“I never even met my grandparents; I don’t even know them.”

They passed away before I was born. My parents and I shared a home. In Takoradi, I grew up in a compound house. I was quite curious. I enjoy posing numerous inquiries.
